The Election

I am not 100% sure but i dont believe they are mining or smelting at doe run anymore. I think its only a recycling operation now. That is what the lead from bullets comes from anyway not freshly smelted lead. They shut it down in 2013 i believe.

Coal is dead ... no matter what. Natural gas is too cheap, and too abundant to avoid that truth. If you are in coal, you have been given a little bit of time to find something else -- use it wisely.

Sorry guys. I guess the mine did stop smelting in December 2013. They do lots of recycling. I am not sure about the mining. If they do they must export it to be smelted.

The U.S. ambient air quality standard for lead emissions is the most restrictive in the world. In 2008, the National Ambient Air Quality Standard for lead was reduced from 1.5 ?g/m3 (micrograms of lead per cubic meter of air) to 0.15 ?g/m3.

I bet some EPA paper pusher didn\'t even think much about the new limit. It looks as if the just moved the decimal point
