The IF deer hunt - Take IV !

Take 3 was a bust.
Rain all day Friday and today it was 80 degrees.
Saw some does and one small buck with no rut activity
Decided to come back home.
Maybe, just maybe I\'ll slip back out mid week in 10 days or so.
Cool down coming

On way for Take 4.
Got some stand work to do when I get there before the evening hunt.
Hope the tutus happening this time !

They should really be starting to move this week. I think we\'ll hear some good news in the next day or two ... or at least get some good videos.

Just saw a doe tonight.
It was plenty breezy with shifty winds.
Tomorrow starts better wind.

Went to my tree stand this morn.
Had a big shooter follow a doe 100yds away.
Spiker came up behind me and passed on him.
Saw 6 total. Nice day here too. In a ground blind now.
Trails and rubs crisscross in front of me

Slipped back to the truck for a sandwich.
Rudy not sure if I got him on trail cam or not.
He was a nice 8 maybe 9 point.

Guess where he came from....
Same spot as the other buck I passed on and filmed.
So that meant I moved my stand back to there.

Headed back out early this afternoon

But gotta say that my trigger finger is getting aweful itchy!!

In my tree
Got decent wind
2 hours til dark....

What a morning! 25 degrees and foggy. 2 bucks came in together. One small 8 with small body and one big 6 that was a tank body. Shot at the 8. Missed. Shaved hair from the back. Then a huge buck chased a doe a ways away. Then a spike and decent 8 came by. Grunted them in but got winded. Awesome morning.

How many more days ya got Brad???? :?: :?:

For general consumption :D :D I would a shot the big 6 if I had the chance since we can\'t eat the antlers anyway... :D :D

Keep it up and you will get one....

Sounds like a good morning.

I been trying to post some pics but.... Phones and hunting.....
Anyway I\'m back the truck for some lunch.

I\'m gonna hunt this evening and head back to Colorado as there is a major storm a coming tonight and tomorrow.

Here is daybreak on the riverbottom this morning.
You can just feel the rut...
