The worst sound you can hear hunting elk

could you imagine - solo hunting in the wilderness and laying in your bivy tent at night and hearing a banjo start playing....

Two seasons ago I had a decent 6x6 bull raking a aspen tree at 38 yards, I just was about to draw when the worst thing rung my cars, a vehicle coming down the logging road I was nearby.......... still can't get that damn jeep outta my head!

Remembered another worst: any message from my wife on my phone she has a gift to be able to get sick every hunting season.  Last year I went to the other end of the state and she still cut it short, only by one afternoon but its painful anytime you don't give it your every drop of sweat.

I've had similar experiences.  ha.  My wife also gets sick anytime i hahve plans for basketball or a night out with my buds...
Now during hunts I set it up to have her stay with her mom and dad so if she goes down I'm not on the short list to head home and take care of her and the boys. Maybe have someone on call if travel isn't a possibility.
