also just to brag a bit o.... I swam a full mile for the first time in my life last week at 42. I\'m presently training for another sprint triathalon in May, and am seriously considering an Olympic Tri this Sept. (1 mile swim, 26 mile bike, 6.2 mile run).

Dang, congrats Shane! That\'s a heck of a feat. If you do go for the Tri in Sept, make sure to leave some energy for your elk hunt!

DONE!

since I\'m the techno guy in our group, I just went thru the process for me, my dad, my uncle, a cousin, a buddy and my boy! (boy is just getting PP\'s for the 2018 trip).

this is a rifle hunt year for us, so I\'m really looking forward to it. We\'ll have several new guys in camp too. Ought to be a great year in elk camp (arent they all??)

I remember a long, long time ago in a galaxy far, far away :D :D when I used to swim a mile twice a week the week our boy scout troop was at camp...

I figure I could still swim a mile now if the water was a mile deep...

Go get um Shane... :train: :train:

Awesome job Shane, congrats!

My buddy and I are like you in the draws, where my brothers and other hunting partners look to my buddy and I to get everything set up for both archery and rifle seasons.

I found units for us to get rifle tags on our second choice: cow elk (List B), doe (List B) and buck (List A). Most of us will go for OTC archery either sex elk for our list A tag.

Hopefully I will draw some of the CO trophy species this year: 10 weighted points (WP) for moose, 9 (WP) for mountain goat, 8 (WP) for sheep - and 13 points for antelope. I\'m holding off on burning my elk PP\'s this year, as I have a little family addition arriving first week of September...

That\'s a solid list Roman. Are you putting in for the antelope tag as well?

Derek, yeah - I put in for the 201 hybrid tag for antelope.
Awesome! I always forget about the hybrid drawing. I might have to start saving some points for those...

Well SOAB, I screwed up, I missed the freaking deadline for PP in CO. Will I lose all my points up to now? I\'m so freaking POed I can\'t make myself look through the book or website anymore. Started new job last November so already hacked off as would not get to go this September anywhere, now I do this.

Didn\'t help that I\'ve been working 14 hours a day the last two months but now I pour salt in those - no hunt this September - wounds. Heck couldn\'t remember my password to login here it\'s been so long.

No you wont lose your PPS.

They stay with you for 10 years, but you will be charged extra next year unless you get a license this year
