Welcome to the Elk101.com Forums!

I'm Jen  :)  I live in Sheridan, Wy where I love to hunt just about anything that I can but have a deep obsession with elk. I love being able to drive 10 minutes from my house and see elk. I have two kids.. My daughter will turn 7 this month and then My son is 2. We spend pretty much all day everyday doing something outdoors. On days when we cant, then we watch hunting videos.  I love anything that has to do with the outdoors.. I love to hunt, fish and trap!

Hey all, I'm Jon from Denver. Great site! I shot a bull with my muzzleloader in 08 and have been chasing them with my recurve ever since (got a cow 2 years ago). I just like being out in the mountains hunting with friends whether its with a rifle, muzzleloader, or bow. Hunting is a year round thing for me with all the preperation and practice it takes which is half the fun. Is it September yet?

Steve from Charlotte, NC.  Just joined & look forward to reading the forums.  Been hunting deer with a bow since I was 17 (i'm 45 now), but just started elk hunting 3 years ago and I love it.  Can only make it out west for a little over a week for the season, but I hunt elk every day of year in my head.

My name is Adam from IL. I'm a line clearance tree trimmer out of IBEW. I have 7 German Shorthaired Pointers and guide hunts part time for Harpoles Heartland Lodge.Iv bow hunted whitetails and turkey hunted most of my life. Outsmarting and playing hide n seek with a mature Tom is one of my favorite things to do. I love and play bluegrass. I first got my drive to elk hunt in 2006 when I became friends with an avid elk hunter who was a guide at the lodge. Last year was my first elk hunt. My two brothers and I had a fun hunt up in the gravellies in MT. We didnt get one but had a close call with a nice bull our 2nd morning. Hunting a little more central MT this year in the Lewis and Clatk NF...... I CAN'T WAIT

Cordell from Bismarck ......I mainly hunt Mulies in the ND Badlands.  I went on my first Elk hunt last year in ID ......We only saw one bull and it was the day before the season opened up.  I'm heading back in 2014 for another try .....Hunting the Badlands in October,  hopefully with the Hoyt Buffalo and some flint broadheads from Native Flakes Flint Knapping.  If you get a chance,  you should check out Roy's work.....he makes some beautiful heads!  I hunt with a bow about 95% of the time now after returning to the sport after a lengthy layoff of 30 some years.
