Just looked it up. That is crazy.
It\'s crazy country/weather out there.

There is no part of me that wants to hike a desert in the summer. My hunt is February, so that is nice.

did a 200 yard hill climb dash this weekend. not because i \"wanted\" to..but because there was a group of girls walking down the hill. they were dressed like roller derby girls. bright pink knee high socks, etc..

i was going up the hill and they were coming down..one of them started yelling and cheering..\"dont stop!! faster\". i ran it fast, like i did it everyday. almost at a sprint. i did peek back and see them watching..so stopping was out of the question. i made it to the top and slowed to a jog for the gentle grade up..right until i crested a hill and out of their line of sight...screech!! i stopped, grabbed my knees and struggled for air..whoa!

that night, my glutes felt like i was...well, nevermind. i was sore. i\'m still sore. today was much much slower.

i need a beer.

Shot in basement because of monsoon rains. I think we will have an early snow in the mountains. It has been the coolest Summer since I moved back down to the Front Range. COS has maybe seen 3 days in the 90s this Summer. Strange. Maybe opening week won\'t hit the 60s.

Sorted stuff for hunting. Assembled my new HUD. Went over maps.

Packed for my final scouting trip. This is my most serious scouting trip of the summer. I set my opening day plans based on what I see during this trip. 3 spots need to be hit in 2 days. I am leaning towards my long standing spot that always has elk opening day...SW end of a bench which dries up after ML starts.

Had a nice shoulder workout this morning and shot a bunch tonight.

Broadheads and field tips.

It went VERY WELL.

I also did some small shopping for the trip.
