I took a selfi!! LOL :zomb:
This made my day!

I spent the last 2 days moving more things out of storage, so no real workout except for lifting boxes. My shoulders are still sore from my \"dust off the cobwebs\" shooting on Friday. My shoulders have been doing the Snap, Crackle, Pop. I need more motrin.

4.5 months to go until opening day.

I hope to be finished storage moving and house projects by June 1st which leaves 3 serious months to get ready for the season. Plenty of time.

Don\'t over do it mtnmutt . Not good when your body is making sounds you can hear.

I thought I would make it thru the winter without getting sick.
NOT
Been on the couch all weekend, ZERO energy, chills and sinus headache, body aches

Yuck

I hear you Brad. I\'m just getting over it. Still have the sinus crud. We had a big grass fire call yesterday that literally kicked my butt because I don\'t have all my energy back yet. Hoping I\'m back to full strength before I head to Kansas.

i guess im driving to kansas  we have been lucky and havent had a grass fire yet..... i hope you can get here by 8

Dang. What is with all this Spring sickness? Last week, a coworker in IL had the flu. The flu in April, weird. I hope you all feel better soon.

F M, Unfortunately, my shoulders have been doing that off & on for the past 2 years. 2 years ago, I tore tendons in my bow shoulder. I only have the normal amount arthritis for my age. A 51 year old body isn\'t as durable as a 20 year old body and it takes longer to recover from injury. It is what it is. I thought I was safe shooting just 14 arrows, so the soreness was a surprise. I layered up the Chinese snake oil and the shoulders feel better. I will give them some rest. I joke to my boss that I go back to work for rest, esp, after a vacation and hunting.

4.5 months til opening day. All couch potatoes may want to get off the couch soon.

Massive leg workout today with 15 minutes of jump roping cardio.
Shot my bow and went through my gear......

The elk aren\'t going to know what hit them....

Still sick here, thought about elk hunting tho

Sorry hear that. Hope you get better soon. Try something with electrolytes. It may help.

Today, I got the packing out of my left ear. I am free to resume all activities.

I have another extremely long work day on Wednesday, therefore, I will resume my interval training later in the week.

I only did core exercises today. I went through my arrows and found some that I forgot to put trimmer line in. I run 34 grains of trimmer line in my arrows per a suggestion from cnelk.

Exercising and a little shooting over the weekend. I\'ve been sick lately, too, so it\'s good to be back close to full-speed.

Went shed-hunting. Didn\'t find anything except a half-eaten little mulie antler, but did see lots of pronghorn, some mulies, and a young moose.

Friend bought a huge bass boat. So naturally I shoe-horn myself an invite. Did okay!

Sunburned but happy. Jogged yesterday.

Feel better Cnelk! The recent strain demands rest. I\'m a pro sleeper and a couple of huge nights sleep 11-12 hours licked it. My wife stayed sick for weeks.

My body was angry with me after my 4 day Kansas trip because I didn\'t have any veggies.....

Today was a 2 mile run, chest and core workout, and 10 minutes of jump roping

I have been walking without the immobilizing boot for two weeks and foot is feeling good. It is still not 100%, so I am taking it easy. The last month my cardio has been the rowing machines at the gym.

Two days ago I took my stiff soled Lowa boots to work to do the stairs. I don\'t want my foot flexing too much yet, so the stiff soled boots are the ticket. I typically will do the 7 flights 5 times not using hand rails and going everyother step with 3.5min rest in between sets. I take the elevator down after each set (going down manually hurts my knees too much anymore). That felt really good and I had fairly good times, but I only did 4 sets, but the foot didn\'t have any problems.

Yesterday I did the rowing machine and the versa climber as well. This morning I did my first hard cardio session with a 1 hour cycling class at the gym. Foot held up great using my hard soled cycling shoes.

My goal is to lose 25lbs by hunting season and to get really fit. My buddy also had me purchase a groupon to do the Rugged Maniac, so that comes Aug 2nd. Not as hard as a Spartan Race, but it should be a fun challenge - I am expecting my foot to be 100% in the next month if I keep working it smartly.

5 miles zigzagging thru the timber today at 8000ft was a not so gentle reminder that
I AM NOT IN ELK HUNTING SHAPE!

How was the snow Brad?

Make it to your secret spot yet? :silent:

30 minutes cardio and an arm workout today

No trip to the secret elk spot for awhile yet. Too much snow, mud and downed trees.
I do need to get in there sometime tho. I still have my spike camp, in a pack, hanging in a tree there
