What did you do today....

I\'m in the same boat and have a temporary solution for this year.

I am left eye dominant and right arm dominant. I shoot all my guns lefty, but when I started out with a bow, I bought righty only because it was way easier to pull back.

Fast forward to this year. I am able to still shoot and kill shooting a bow righty, but I think a the end of the season I will really start playing with the leftys because I know I can see and focus better.

Finished moving junk out of storage unit. Now my house and garage are disaster areas.

I started out a RH shooter when I knew I was LED. I am right handed and was too chicken to go lefty from the start.

When I upgraded my bow 2 years later, I switched to LH. It was tough, but doable. Reaching my baseline goal of 50# took twice as long with the LH bow than my RH bow. I kept my RH bow and still shoot it occasionally.

For most of my life, I used both hands and arms for writing and chores. Writing with my left hand was needed because I could only hear on the phone with my right ear. My right hand was used to hold the phone before headphones became popular. After I injured my right shoulder (tendon tears), my left arm became the dominate arm to use for chores.

Practice using the non dominate hand & arm for other things like chores, so switching to the non dominate arm is easier.

I am glad I switched from RH to LH.

3 sets at 90 seconds \'bout killed me last time I did it. 60 seconds on the side was killer. I did a core workout with a 20 year old U.S. Marine...I was sore for days!
 
Woke up and did a nice chest workout.
Tonight will be a 2 mile jog and core.


Then up at 3am to drive to my elk unit and scout/hike all Saturday. :dance2:

Good job everyone! Keep after it!

When the planking gets too easy, try these modifications:

Normal plank - to make more challenging, take your left leg up and place the toes of your left foot on top of your right heel, so that only your right foot is in contact with the ground - vice versa for the other leg when you switch.

Side planks - say you are planking on your right side - point your left arm/hand vertically toward the ceiling/sky and then lift your left leg so it is in the air at say 20-40 degrees.

I have done them but usually just push ups. I am working on eccentric exercises. Something new and great results with less time.

yea. i do..ahem. i did?

i fallen off that wagon. they are by far the most challenging for me. i\'m all awkward. i move about the yard like an idiot. somehow i dont have the ability to do it \"in place\".

i do ten burpees, then do 10 double squat jumps, a bunch of hill climbs..i think that is what they are called. then i heave and breath like an asthmatic, chain smoker on top of the rockies. i suck.

Lol I\'ll head over after my hike and we can sort this out.

We will have one fit to fight site.

We will be single handedly carrying our elk off the mountain.

LOL...throw in short DL and lowish DW, and that\'s 6 strikes against me!
I hope you were able to find a great bow for your wife. It\'s frustrating that bow shops won\'t stock many (if any) LH bows. There\'s certainly enough of a demand for them...
