What did you do today....

if the rain holds off after work, I am lining up a concrete saw and electric jack hammer. to start taking out my sidewalk......

I cut another half dozen arrows, sharpened a knife that was given to me by my uncle that he used back in the 70\'s and this evening after kids wake up from naps we are going on a little family hike.

My water heater decided to stop working :downthumb:

So after some troubleshooting I found one of my heater elements leaking water, which tripped the cb.
Now I\'m just draining the water heater and I\'ll replace the piece here soon :problem:

Fun day

I ended up taking the sidewalk out by hand, with a maul... :train:

I have done that and I know you got your workout in............ :upthumb:

I carried 100 cement blocks 30ft and down into the basement I am working on. I mixed some morter and laid 12 before I quit for the day. I started with a headache and after the workout it wasn\'t any better.

Saturday was cool.

jogged 3 trail miles. got a sport leg message..went to the bow range and shot for several hours. my bowrange i have to hike in to. and the targets are sometimes up steep grades. my legs are tired.

sunday, rest day.

I have been putting edges back on some used SlickTricks blades with my Gatco sharpener.

terry, and to boot, its been in the mid 80s and sticky humid!

I know how it feels.

Mid 90s here today with a heat index of 105. I will take off tonight but tomorrow isn\'t much better and I will lay some block if the rain holds off. I am planning on staying home Wednesday, our only hope for dry weather and hitting it hard. Hope to finish with a little help from my uncle. Then the fun stuff. Framing.........

Bought my WY cow tag today! Been doing 3 miles every other day with 50# pack. Starting to drop a few pounds but not looking to lose weight. My goal is to strengthen my knees and hips. On a hunt in the Breaks, my knees became really sore after only a couple days. In the morning I could hardly walk to the crapper. i would pop a couple Advil and be fine at noon, but every morning it was the same. For those that have sore feet in the morning, it was kind of the same situation, only my knees. One of the gals I was hunting with was a PT Assistant. She said that part of the job of the muscles in and around your knees is to hold everything together. It was muscle fatigue that was causing my pain, and after an hour of walking, everything felt great until the next day. Now, every year I spend a bunch of time walking with weight (I\'m not a runner by any means) and high stepping with weight and I can really tell the difference in my leg strength and stability, and my knees don\'t hurt in the mountains.

IMO, timberland, you\'re right ... strength is always, always, always better than weakness.

Pain, especially in the knees, is very often due to lack of muscle around the knee.

Coincidentally, it was leg day here, too!

Legs are my #1 focus one I get off the crutches. I can make do with my upper body strength, but I am really worry about building my legs back up.
I\'m sure these 15 days off will be good rest for them, but I am ready to hit it hard!
