What did you do today....

\"I should have 4 or 5 more packages coming in\"

I can see a couple of new pairs of women\'s shoes coming soon to Dan\'s closet! :haha:

How many yards was it, Gary, and how much help did you you have? Sometimes, depending on what is being poured, unskilled help is worse than no help at all, but what are you gonna say when the neighbor wants to help!

I\'m in the process of putting up a 4 car garage on the east side of the shop. I\'ll give you a call when it\'s time to pour the floor!

You better let me know when you are doing this!!!!! I will honestly come out there and help you!
I also have my cousin out there that I could grab.

Bonding time with Tim, bonding time with my cousin (whose name is also Tim  ), and we can put up your garage.

I CAN ALSO GET DUNKIN DONUTS :dance2:

Late July ...

Workouts continue, at least 4 days per week, usually 5 with the other days having some sort of \"activity\" like hiking, riding, etc.

Shooting: One or two shots before work. I\'m \"on\" to 40, with broadheads hitting right with field points.

Bullets: Well, I need to get with it on shooting the rifle a bit.

Scouting: Headed into elk camp on Saturday to put up some trail cameras and just generally check on things. Are the elk there? (Sure they are!)

Supplies: Time to start thinking about first aid supplies, broadhead inventory, and food for the trip. Picking my new u-joints (yes, plural) tomorrow. Yes, they\'ve been attached to my vehicle. With that repair, I should have the vehicles ready for action. Trailers are ready to go. ATVs, if needed for pronghorn, are ready, too -- oh, wait, one had a little \"wrench\" icon show up the other day for a second. Gotta check the manual for what that means.

(WHY CAN\'T THEY JUST HAVE SIGNALS THAT TELL YOU WHAT THEY MEAN? THESE DAMN ICONS ARE DRIVING ME CRAZY. WE DON\'T NEED TO BASE EVERYTHING OFF OF ILLITERATE PEOPLE\'S \"VOCABULARY\" OF ICONS.)

Work: Plugging away, making room for the decreased work of September.

Planning for 2016: Just starting. Hmm ... what to do? Where to go? What to hunt?

I really think the \"cold bore\" shooting in the morning is great. It gives you a true tell at what could happen in the field.
Some days I shoot a few times before I leave camp, but it\'s only 5-8 yards because it\'s dark.
So it\'s more warming me up, but it\'s not telling me what I will do at 40.

Good to hear your broad heads are hitting where you want them to :upthumb:

Down 12lbs, hopefully get another 10lbs off by end of August. Incorporating more jogging and more cardio overall - biking, treadmill, eliptical, versaclimber, running pass patterns for my oldest (aspiring NFL QB at 9!). Most notable difference is when I finally cleaned up my diet a few weeks ago, as well logging what I eat and what my workouts are - let\'s you know where you are slacking and eating unhealthy! Did 7 hours hiking setting up trail cameras and looking for potential elk spots last Saturday. Did an hour road bike session this morning before work, and will hit the gym or jog this afternoon. Signed up a couple months ago with my buddy who wanted to complete the Rugged Manaic race event in Denver, so that is next weekend.

Great job Roman and everyone.

Please all, remember to increase your protein intake if adding muscle. Otherwise, your body will go after your own body\'s protein. Within 30 minutes of ending exercise, get some protein. This will tell your body to stay away from your body\'s protein.

In the past, I was bad at this. A friend set me straight when I started doing races. I now add muscle mass very quickly.

This week...
I started pack training on the treadmill using the rolling hills program.

More yoga, stretching, SI joint, core exercises and now thanks to Brad\'s posting...balance exercises.

I use the inversion table every other day which includes some stretching.

Shooting from kneeling position in basement at least every other day.

Ordered more gear: new trail running (hunting) shoes, broadheads, indoor/outdoor thermometer for camp/tent. Just a few more items to buy and I am done.

2 months ago, I started drinking a vege/fruit/protein smoothie daily. All my blood work was better than the ok normal of last year. I feel better now that I drink this thing daily. I am down 4.5 lbs from the 7 lbs I gained during my Spring 6 week post-op.

Next week, I have the dreaded procedure that Swede and others mentioned on another thread. I was due last year. Because of ear surgeries and moving, I blew it off last year. No food for 40 hrs, ugh! I never do fasting. I am already dreaming of a burger or a steak.

Well I am down at least 7 lbs today and I wish I was kidding......

Either these antibiotics are whopping my behind (Dr said most common side effect was exactly what\'s going on.....both ends) or I have food poisoning.

Dan sorry about the antibiotics. Most of them aren\'t good for me either. Try rice and bland chicken. Drink some electrolytes. You may have over did it when you resumed exercise.

Tonight, I picked up my supplies (Jello, Gatorade, a magical mix from some sorceress) for my fun next week. I want someone to write me a permission slip to get out of it. I have done 9 ear surgeries with the last 8 being a piece of cake. I would rather do a 10th ear surgery than the procedure next week. Summer is a stupid time of year to do this. Okay, I am a being a baby. I wish I had waited until October. In dogs years, I am only 7.3 years old. Am I really old enough to drink the magical mix?

I guess you could say I got a 16 hour core workout......

I\'m feeling a little bit better today, just very weak and tired because o couldn\'t sleep. I am definitely getting my share of electrolytes and I\'ll be making some chicken noodle soup here soon.

Glad you are feeling a little better. At least it isn\'t during hunting season.

Last season, I ate in town one evening and it ruined my hunt the next day. When hunting, it is best to only eat foods you are used to eating.

Very good point. During hunting season it\'s super important to stay healthy!!!!!
I can\'t imagine dealing with something like this during a hunt......

I\'m still trying to figure out if I can make it up to the mountains tomorrow and check cameras.....

Super pumped after seeing the game camera pictures from yesterday.
I am feeling much better today so I still want to take it light, but get something out of it.

So ill probably shoot my bow for a while :upthumb:

Just screwed on a BH for the first time this morning
Shot at 30 & 40yds, hit right where the FP hit.
Check.

Yesterday for my workout, I mowed my entire lawn with the push mower
90 degrees
Took almost 2 hours with only one break - when Aaron Johnson stopped by :)

Shot my bow a little yesterday, took a guy out to the area he will be antelope hunting this year to show him the ropes.
We did some glassing and saw some nice bucks. I\'ll be going with him this year to help him out and record the hunt :D

I got my dirt work finished, filled in and graded the dirt around the new driveway. I was wringing wet with sweat.....

Currently sitting in a jury selection room. Not looking good. Room is empty! My odds are good.

Hope I get out on time to jog.

Sent via Jedi mind trick.

2 days before the 30 day crunch time.

Saturday: SUV serviced. Evening Incline ascent with run down Barr Trail. I finally shaved off some time on my ascent. Legs are good to go for September.
Sunday: Shot an elk in the rain...3D shooting in the rain kneeling using new Arc?teryx knee caps. Thanks Roman, my knees were happy.
Today: E.L.K. Power Bugle purchased for possible use the last week of September. Purchased packitgourmet meals for opening week. Not good to shop for food when you are on a liquid diet for 42 hours. I am so hungry. :ill:

4 weekends to go and then off to the elk woods.
