Colorado; Pronghorn, Elk, BH sheep, Moose, and Deer. Once I retire, maybe I can look to our neighbors for additional elk draw opportunities, but for now this and NE OTC is about all the vacation I can afford.

Got my NM elk this yr. almost did not put in for it. Next is KY , and Colorado. Got 13 pp there. Think I will have over the counter tag there. Utah is also Hail Mary, have 14 points there and still 3 yrs out from tag I want. Will be 75 when I get it. Like to plan long range. LOL :train:

I\'m OTC for Elk in Colorado and now waiting on KS whitetail draw. I paid in blood and about gave up my first born for those two whitetail tags this year. $550 all in.

If I didn\'t have some good places to hunt withing relatively reasonable travel I would look elsewhere.

Im at two for everything: deer, turkey, antelope and elk....

As I normally do, I applied on the 1st day applications are open... Got my confirmation email.... Application deadline is June 1, 2016 and drawing is June 25, 2016...

I\'ve been doing this ever since the AGFC opened elk season in 1998... :upthumb: :upthumb:

Dan - I just finished applying and checked.

I have the following:

4 - Antelope
10 - Elk
7 - Turkey
0 - Deer (Drew a hunt last year)

I just did the unthinkable and applied for a cow tag for the January hunt! It took my dad 29 years to draw his bull tag and took another individual I know close to 40 and he eventually gave in and took a cow before he passed away. Since it\'s a two day hunt, the fact that I don\'t get to hunt or share camp with my dad very often I thought what the hell. I think I have a legit chance of getting a tag since most all of the hunters apply for the bull tags (only 60 this year).

If I don\'t draw, I may switch horses and apply for a bull again next year. Who knows...

We shall see.... last figure I seen was 39 or 40K hunters apply for elk in Oklahoma based on 2010 stats.

Im going for long shots on the deer applications and I would probably pass out if I ever drew one.
I also wouldn\'t mind getting an antelope tag too.

But I am trying to get stuff like:
- Wichita Mts. (antlered)
- Salt Plains NWR Wilderness Area (antlered)
- Four Canyon Preserve
- Sandy Sanders WMA

So I probably won\'t draw a license for a while.


Oh well, I can wait! I REALLY want to hunt Wichita.....

You can draw Salt Plains. I would put in for regular draw if they ever start issuing rifle buck tags again.
