Who makes their own gear?

In the past I have made some of my own equipment, and honestly a lot of the items I make have proven to be superior to certain items I have bought. I think the most effective piece of equipment I have made are my tarps and pack covers, but I have also made very strong tree straps, whoopie slings and ridgelines for hammock camping. I think my next project is going to be lightweight gaiters. What items do you all make that is a must have on your hunt or something that tends be both more cost effective and better performing?

Ive been known to dabble in making stuff :)

All ya need is a couple of small lightweight bungees to hold um up and you would have both hand free for other task..

Do you just use some sort of seam tape to put the waders together?

I used contact cement [its what I had] - about a 1" wide swath along the seam. Let dry completely and press together.

I've made several of these. This is my latest. Seems like I'm always modifying everything to suit my personal needs. But when it comes to knives, theres just something special about making your own.

That's really cool WW. Personal and customs knives are awesome! That looks like you know what you're doing.
