I\'d move the rest a schooch up

tell me more on, moving the rest up...... I usually just move the entire sight down, to get the broadheads to hit where they should. I just shoot broadheads once its a month out from hunting.

The adjustment should make both BH and FP come together. When you adjust you are moving your rest in the direction you want your broadhead to go. The change effects the BH more than the FP and eventually they will impact together assuming you don\'t have another issue.

i might be wrong..but i look at it this way.

if you move your rest a tiny bit, it affects the FT arrow flight very little (if at all) and it affects the BH arrow some. the broadhead takes off from the bow and the blades act like wings steering that arrow. if you scooch up the rest, it gets the arrow to plane into the air more in the direction you need it to go. the FT arrow has no \"wings\" so it goes just where you aim it anyways. the strategy it to predict and control that initial planing action of the blades (wings).

make a note of where it is at, and move the rest up..no more than a 1/16..hell, even 1/32. it makes a fair distance in broadhead flight at 20 yards.

my arrows are perfectly 90 deg off the string and going right smack thru the berger hole. i moved the rest up for perfect flight..looked and it was centered. so now i just kinda start there.

I just back from reading up on this. now I will have figure out how to adjust my whisker biscuit when I get home from work....

I\'m sure this goes without saying, but shooting field tips means the arrow will fly straight and for the most of the time true.
Shooting broadheads brings out our flaws.

Make sure you\'re keeping perfect form before you go adjusting!

Last night I put some trimmer line in my arrows ... show this morning, and still right on at 20 ... but definitely quieter ...

And definitely buried my arrows deeper in the target!

Or through the target. I need to stack my targets in tandem to prevent pass-through losses now.

I too shot last night and am pleased with the penetration. :upthumb:

Light arrows blow through a deer under 20yds. I am curious to see if the heavier arrow will blow through an elk. My last 2 the arrows on elk stopped just short of poking out the skin on the opposite side. So these arrows should do it.

The only issue I had with trimmer line was that it made a noise when I flex tested the arrows after I\'d shoot. Scared the CRAP out of me the first time it sounded like an arrow was about to explode. Took me a minute to realize it was the trimmer line.

If you use the trimmer cord, make sure the nock is on tightly ...

I shot this morning and noticed the nock of one arrow fly off and the trimmer cord ended up making it only half-way to the target. The arrow hit where I was aiming, but I would be skeptical of penetration as it was fish-tailing quite a bit!

 I bet that was a surprise.

I used to notice that on the Raiders I was shooting with the trimmer line. There\'s a fine line between the trimmer line being too short and too long. Mine was pushing on the knock and I\'d have to reset the knocks every so often.
