It seems like an effective shot, even more if you\'re hunting solo and they are coming in directly at you.

I had a picture at one time that had the area drawn out on it.. I\'ll look and see if I can find it and post it....
 
I think this is it but the big area is general and there is a tennis ball size area inside the larger area if ya look close... Also another for ya to look at..

I broke a few ribs on the cow during the autopsy, but I don\'t remember taking a dump.

You\'re right -- must be a bear! Though you might want to examine Matt\'s \"sign\" and see if it matches! :haha:
 
I wasn\'t asking if it was a bear. I figured you knew what it was Brad. I\'m just surprised the coyotes haven\'t gotten to it yet.
 
Are bear tags OTC in CO? I want to take one with my bow next year and that would be a cool place to do it.

Some of them are. You need another big game tag to get the OTC tags, and the bear tag will be good for the same season, and form of take as the big game tag. You can also get one in the draw that\'s good for the whole month of Sept, and you don\'t need another big game tag to go with it.

Bear tags are easy to get now, because Colorado has too many bears right now.
 
Well
Bear showed up!
A sow and 2 cubs came in for about 20 min.
The sow was very pretty tho

Thanks Pete, that\'s good to know. I will have to start researching now. I would love to take a bear with my bow. Maybe I can try to draw an elk tag and then get a bear tag on top.
