Must make for a interesting hunt. Do you have you head on a swivel so you can watch you back side. ;) You got anymore strange pics?

Here ya go FM. This is \"Wide load Joe.\" He likes to sleep on his back with all four hooves straight up in the air. When his rack is growing this is what happens. He might not score well in mass or tine length but goodnight look at the width! LOL
HOLY SMOKES

I\'m not going to let this die.

I am gearing up my cameras for some action here soon.
Once the draws come out, it\'ll dictate what cameras go where.

I am thinking 2 for elk country, maybe one for mule deer country and 3-4 in Oklahoma!!!!!!

Time to start planning for another amazing year of hunting :upthumb:

If I had that many cams out I would forget where I had all of them.

Its coming close to the first camera pull.....
Does anyone else have some out?

Post them up and lets keep this thread going all season :upthumb:

Havn\'t set any yet this year but here are a couple from last year. It was my first time using trail cameras and let\'s just say i learned where NOT to put one. The wind on this ridge kept the camera busy. Funny thing about the second picture, I had no idea it was on the card until the other night when I decided to flip through the pics again. Up until then I thought I had gotten 0 pictures of anything other than the bat. I had skipped over it I dont know how many times, obviously it\'s not the best picture, but I did find it intriguing that he was wandering through this meadow in the middle of the day, no where near where I figured they spent a majority of the afternoon...hmmm

Way cool pic of the bat Anthony. That is wild.
I too have made the mistake with both wind and sun tripping the cam WAY to much. I have blown entire SD cards up in a few days because of weeds or branches I didn\'t realize were swinging in the breeze. The tough part about hanging cams is knowing what the wind MIGHT do or how the sun might affect things. You hang a cam in the morning and the conditions might be way different in the mid afternoon. Also, with slower trigger cams try putting them where the animals slow down or stop briefly to increase your trigger chances. By a log they step over, by water, put out an attractant...anything to up your odds. I have a lot of cheaper cams so I can increase the number I put out (and if they die/get stolen/etc, I\'m not out much) and I have good luck with triggering if I stage them correctly.
I haven\'t put out any yet this year. I hope to sooooon.

Wow!!!! What a great shot!
Any idea how the elk died?
A couple of guys from Texas told me they lost a bull. I went to the area and used my nose to find him. Took a few pictures, cut the horns off and put a tree stand over the carcus. I was in the stand when this guy walked in. One of my friends in Camp lives in Texas, and he took the horns, his arrow and pictures to the guy . It was his 1st elk. He had used a Rage expandable broadhead that did not open plus he made a really poor shot.

Shame the broad head didn\'t open up, but you got some awesome pictures from it.
All of these are great pictures. I really like the eagles and that muddy elk!
