I wonder if he is on the decline or not.
I love giant bucks, but old old bucks on the decline still have cool racks and it makes the kill that much more meaningful knowing he is 8.5.

NR tags are always left over and be bought after the lottery. When they decided to jack up the prices the cap has not been met since.

I live in NW Illinois and hunt all over the state. Was in central Illinois last weekend helping a friend on his farm do some planting. We had some EHD hit parts of the state pretty hard last year so its good your hearing about high deer numbers where you headed.
