my 300 win mag is the only rifle I own...... I bet wind is a factor there at 400 plus yards!\"iccyman001\" said:\"zpd307\" said:land must be cheap in okie, for the state to buy up such a big chunk. good luck on the thinning project. what do you use on them hogs? with all this talk of hog hunting, I am hatching a plan to go see a new best friend never been hog hunting before.....
See, back in Florida I would use my .223 for all the pigs, but that was close range. Out in OK I have spots that could reach out to 400+, so I might bring the .270 or the new .308 to try out.
I\'d say I would bring out the .300 win mag, but that is beyond an overkill
\"Colorado Russ\" said:Hey Dan. Yeah, our timing wasn\'t good over Memorial weekend. When I passed the exit to go South, I could barely read the exit sign because it was raining so hard. Gotta love those muddy OK roads!! Don\'t think I would\'ve gotten very far in my wife\'s Honda Accord!
Glad to hear about the land expansion and I\'ll definitely try to get down there once over the summer and again during November hunting season.
Sent you a text about the hog hunting.

I\'ve been chasing pigs for a couple weeks now...they have managed to elude me
Looking forward to following along with your adventures! :upthumb:

\"zpd307\" said:good to know! I am game for driving upteen miles to shoot a pig or two..... also, based on mine, i\'d say around 150ish for the skull.
