Who is going shed hunting this spring?
I have decided to forgo turkey hunting and go find some sheds

If you find any, post up some pics here!

i have never found a shed, which is mind boggling as much time as i spend outdoors.
now, if you wanna go tick hunting, im your man

I\'ll be out there ... but not for another month or two. Two years ago we had a great year ... found a 7x5 non-typical elk and 5 moose sheds ... last year, we got out late, and didn\'t hunt hard, and didn\'t find a thing.

What to do with antlers? We made a Christmas Tree. In there, there are moose, elk, mulie, whitetail, and pronghorn sheds. Heck, I even have a couple mountain goat horns I pulled off of a dead goat at the bottom of a cliff in MT 20+ years ago. Oh, and a cow caribou shed is in there somewhere, too.

Here\'s another shot ... we decorate it for various seasons ... right now, it\'s out on the front porch.

Haha.

I found ONE shed my entire life. And I jumped up and down like I found the holy grail.

Ticks love me.

I don\'t find many sheds anymore. I have found them in the past but either the bucks have moved, there are less of them or someone else is finding them. The most I found in one day was 8 sheds and 3 match sets in the bunch. The smallest was a 3 inch spike. That one was hard to find  . I found one muley shed and a spike elk in Idaho. I found a bear skull in Colorado. The snow is melting here and I will start looking now. I carry the pack with some weight in it. It is good exercise.

Tim,

what an amazing, but such sad find........
Those two bucks are studs.

How long are the typicals tines? They look massive.

Tim
That find is prob worth more $$$ than what you got for that shed you sold

Dang those were a couple of nice bucks. Its to bad they ended up that way.

I went shed hunting yesterday at Brads request and it ended up being a real bummer of an afternoon! Two nice bucks that I was getting regular pictures of early in the season completely disappeared. Thought maybe someone else had gotten them but found out that was not the case. What a sinking feeling walking up on them! I had seen one of them many times the last two years and found both of his sheds last year. Last year he scored 150 but I just came in from scoring them both and he grossed 171 1/8. The other one went 169 5/8. Sad! You feed them, let them grow and then they go and do something like this! :x

I know these aren\'t really sheds so I apologize. Also sorry for the size of the pics. I have no idea how to downsize. My son does that kind of thing for me.

doggonit wrong pic! I\'m no good at this!

The pictures are a great size Tim.

Very sad that they scored that high......
I hope you have more to chase. If not you are more than welcome to come chase them in OK with me! :upthumb:

When looking at these it was easy to see why they locked up. The right side on one has what looks like a double main beam on the right side and the other one has a 13 inch tine coming out of the base on his right side as well. The typical left side on both locked into the non-typical right side on both and it was all over but the coyote feast! They look quite related to one another.

I probably won\'t go hunting them this spring, but will look for them in the summer while scouting and a little when hunting. I found three 6 point antlers last September. The two largest, found in the timber were still in great shape,

I\'ll be going! I was out for a walk yesterday and jumped 4 bulls all with their head gear intact. Still another few weeks before most will drop here in CO
