What did you do today....

Weight loss is going ok ... in two weeks, I\'ve gained 3 pounds, but then lost 5, so I\'m right at where I wanted to be: 1 pound per week. Another 8-12 weeks and I\'ll be ready to relax a little on the eating.

That\'s what it is like for me John.... seems I am up and down. One day I\'m down a few and the next I am up a few. It\'s been a battle. I am trying to stick to my 5 mile every other day run thing. We\'ll see how it goes! I want to shave off 10lbs by season.

Dang, you get up earlier than me. But I have come to the point that I almost have to exercise prior to going to work. Otherwise, no energy.

thats the way it should happen. Graphed it looks like the stock market. You want to \"trend\" down. Awesome luck to you.

It\'s amazing what being prepared for your trips can do.

I feel like being in shape is a bridge that connects so many pieces.
I am not saying you have to be insane shape, just in shape for the challenges ahead.

We train with our gun or bow to get confident, we practice and ops check our equipment so we are confident in that, so add in being in shape, it brings a whole new level of confidence to the hunt.

There is never that doubt in your mind when you are prepared; so give it you\'re all, and it\'ll pay off this fall! :train:

This morning was a nice shoulder workout and tonight will be a mile job, leg workouts, and a long walk with my dogs.

I cannot wait to move into a house where I have more space for these two.

Wednesday ... yoga day.

Not much for calories burned, but a great way to start a day.

Yes I feel like yoga isn\'t working out my body much. I will admit I skip it and do some other exercises. Maybe I should try it on those days when I have a sinus headache and put off exercising. I hate to get my heart rate up when my head hurts so bad. Yoga might be the answer.

I need to start some yoga. It seems so difficult. Intimidating almost.

Tip #1: Don\'t let anyone see you do it. Your confidence will double.

I\'ve always thought it\'s odd that the people who could really use yoga would never do it, but the people who actually do yoga are so damn flexible that they probably don\'t need it!

I generally exercise 5x/week, and one of them, usually Wednesday, is yoga. It\'s a different kind of workout, but I realized in 2013 the value. I was talking to a bull that I thought was further away than he really was, and as I was sneaking to a \"set-up\", I got caught in \"chair pose\" ... I thought \"Well, OK, I know I can do this for a while.\" And I did, as the bull stared at my direction.

I didn\'t get that bull, but I also didn\'t bust him at that point.

Yoga is a good way to start the day, and it adds balance and isometric endurance.

Since I have someone hauling out the meat for me, I don\'t need to build up strength like in the past. What I need is endurance, and strength in my legs for hiking. My daily hikes with the pooch are working. My resting heart rate is down to 58bpm. I\'ll increase the hikes through the summer at a slow rate to save my bum knee. Adding my daily hunt pack, and carrying the gun too.

I\'ll be ready if I can just keep from getting anymore injuries. I ruptured a disc in my lower back 7 weeks ago, and it\'s coming around a bit now. Hopefully, it will be fine come Oct.

My day job requires me to work on the 19th floor of one of the dowtown Denver office buildings. About two weeks ago, I started getting off the elevator on the 15th floor and taking the stairs up the remaining flights. I am now down to the 10th floor. My goal is to be to street level by the end of the month, and do this twice a day. The only problem I have had has been that my co-workers seem to be avoiding me more each day. Maybe I need a higher quality antiperspirant.

Awesome. Not the stink part ;)

You\'ll be wearing a pack up those stairs soon.

Ah yes, stairs. Always part of my work outs. I live on the 3rd floor. After taking out my dog in the morning I do 25 laps on the stairs up and down. My dog comes along, and he thinks he\'s going back out every lap. Then we have breakfast.

This gets my body used to working when I first get up. Good training for hunting.

Slight hip soreness going on right now. Gonna try a light run in a few minutes. Yesterday\'s rain benched me. And I cooked a bunch of food instead. Which is the OPPOSITE of exercise. My wife liked it :)

Not to get too \"greenie\" here, but I also have been having a huge smoothie every morning from the blender.

3 cups raw spinach
2 cups kale
1 green apple (cored)
1 banana
I cup yogurt any flavor
3 stalks of celery
1/2 cup each of frozen strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and mango
Juice from one orange and one lemon
3 tablespoons of flax seed

Sounds gross and looks worse, but you would be amazed at how good you feel.

Mike

Another killer back workout!
Cardio, bowl of popcorn and then bed.

Tomorrow is my Wife\'s graduation and then Sunday is some hiking with the pups.

Tell your wife congrats. Huge milestone!

I will tell her!
She is already worried that she might get bored and wants to start a second masters program.
I told her we could pay for a doctorate, but she said that can be for after kids....

KIDS??????? AS IN MORE THAN ONE? :tease: :tease: :ill: :ill: :dk: :dk:
