What did you do today....

you need at least 2. after running around with several only children scouts last night, you NEED 2............

Did my Litmus run. 4 street miles. This run used to kill me. Slow hill up. Now. Did it non stop. Forgot to look at my watch but it felt quick.

Something is working ;)

Then push-ups.

Just got back from a hike with my dog. I went farther today with some hills thrown in. Knee is sort of holding up so far.

Just made a 1/2 dozen eggs as a reward.

Not to get too \"greenie\" here, but I also have been having a huge smoothie every morning from the blender.

3 cups raw spinach
2 cups kale
1 green apple (cored)
1 banana
I cup yogurt any flavor
3 stalks of celery
1/2 cup each of frozen strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and mango
Juice from one orange and one lemon
3 tablespoons of flax seed

Sounds gross and looks worse, but you would be amazed at how good you feel.

Mike

That does sound good Mike...but are you sure that\'s enough? That would be breakfast AND lunch for me!

Okay, maybe I just don\'t eat enough!

Today was about 5-7 miles of hiking through Oklahoma with the wife and pups.
I had a 45lb backpack and two sidearms, so I was able to get a little workout in.....

Now its an arm workout and rest time

Dang Rambo, were you expecting trouble out there? Sounds like a good way to prep for hunting season though!

I played 27 holes of golf yesterday and 18 today. Not exactly hunting prep, but the miles do add up. I was pretty sore last night.

My snub .38 is always on me, but I added the .40 for pigs and snakes.
I am not about to mess around with either of those!!!!!
You know me, I am always prepping!

I would be so sore playing that much golf, sounds like a great weekend! :upthumb:

Got up at 5 this morning and went to the store to do my weekly grocery shopping.
I too carried my sidearm ;)

Got stuff put away and then started mowing my lawn.
Typically its a 3 beer lawn, but 830am is a tad early.

Got that all wrapped up and then Aaron J came over this afternoon.
I showed him my StartMyHunt map.
Then I did a cow calling sequence for him with my son to show him how we do it.
I had my target set up so we could shoot a series of shots at 20yds 35yds and 50yds
We shot several rounds both standing and kneeling.
We had a cool beverage and talked WT and Elk hunting
It was a good day

I would imagine Aaron has some good WT stories from the pictures he has posted

Woke up early to a thunder, lightning and rain storm.
Had an awesome shoulder workout and some jumprope cardio.

This afternoon will be a 2 miles run and maybe a mile to two ruck with a 45lb bag and my dogs

With this rain and weather change, an old snowmobile hip injury flared up so I did some stage 1 burpees this morning.
Nice and slow, nice and slow, it sucks getting old...

Youth is wasted on the young.

Busy weekend for me ... picked up my new/used Alaknak tent that my buddy found for me on Craig\'s list last month. I have yet to put it up, though. It looks like it\'s in good shape. The material looks good -- not too much UV exposure. I will need to put it up and seam seal it again, but I\'ll need to wait for the jet stream to move first ... rain forecast for every day this week!

No exercise over the weekend, so it was good to get up this morning and sweat a little. Did my P90x3 workout.

I need to put in for limited-entry tags by the end of the month. All I\'m going to apply for will be some pronghorn tags and a cow elk tag ... and I\'ll buy bull elk and possibly bear over the counter this summer.

There\'s a real knarrly pronghorn buck in the neighborhood ... left horn angles forward with a big curve downward. My wife is not a big game hunter, but said that he was tempting her to get a tag. She\'ll need to decide soon.

3 Mile bike ride with 1 mile of it off road in soft ground. Legs were burning last night. Upper body planned for today and walk with pack.

You would be surprised how far something like this can take you. It definitely does not leave you feeling like you are full, but after doing this for many months, I am eating a lot less and not feeling as hungry. The first few days can be rough, but after that your body responds and realizes that it is actually receiving the nutrients it needs. Just try it and let me know.

Mike
