What did you do today....

I went to watch one of our friends wife compete at a bodybuilding show yesterday. She was in the bikini class (and won)

Anyways, seeing how amazing and healthy these people looked, paired with the soon anticipated tags to be drawn, I am ready to ramp this up another level.
So I will be taking the workout routines to a whole new level.

Almost got my arse kicked yesterday. Told some mountain bikers off when they almost ran me over while trail running. I had no clue there were five of them. I was ready to put my truck key into one guys throat. It was scary. I\'m still gonna call the cops.

I thought you California guys were all supposed to be loving passive tree huggers...

well... I changed treated the wifes car with some love. I changed the engine and tranny oil. checked tire pressure and rotated tires. there was also enough daylight to shoot 12 arrows in the backyard!
no trail type antics.... :angle:

A little shooting yesterday ... reasonable 30 yard groups.

Then, I started counting calories. I\'m not really adjusting things, but the mere act of counting calories has me looking at food a little differently. \"Do I really need that?\"

I have about 10 pounds that I\'d like to get rid of over the summer, and I\'m thinking this will be the ticket.

Did some more scope and rifle research, had a nice long relaxing walk, build a new diet for my next 120 days and a updated workout routine.

120 days and I will be in the woods....

John, as a doc you might be somewhat interested in this book I am reading. It was refered to my wife from a Mayo Clinic doc. It explains how a calorie in doesn\'t equal a calorie out. It also explains how all calories are not the same. It goes into great depth about exercise too. More is not always better. It pushes eccentric exercise. I will be trying it starting Sunday.

I\'m at the hospital in Duluth. My daughter in law just had my second grandson. Another elk hunter coming up. :D

Still running. Cuz \" that dead deer isn\'t going to carry itself\"

I\'m not letting my lack of elk tags diminish my health goals.
