What did you do today....

Planks are awesome, but if anyone wants to take core work to the next level, try pilates. I shied away from it for a long time because the high cost, but there are excellent and inexpensive monthly subscriptions to Web sites offering great at-home pilates routines. Although pilates focuses on working core muscles, good workouts will include the full body. In the four months I\'ve been doing pilates regularly my DW increased (for the first time in YEARS) and I\'ve gained more upper back and arm strength. I\'ve also noticed far fewer back problems and less fatigue when I carry a weighted pack, which is probably from engaging core muscles instead of using (or mis-using) back muscles. For what it\'s worth...

taking it easy today. ran and exercised the past five days.

i did rotate my truck tires today..oh..felt the soreness in my abs. thank goodness for air-tools. BRAAAAAPPPP!

Got the Alaknak put up for the first time ... Looks like it really was a great deal ... It is in great shape and ready to go!

are you going to leave the tent up to give it the Laramie wind test? :)

Uh ... no.

Now I just have to think about how to change this up from car-camping (which we plan in a few weeks) to horse-camping. I\'m thinking we could get by just fine with the tent alone (no vestibule) in September. But, a rainy week would make the vestibule real handy. The poles should be easy to replicate with poles cut on-site with a nail in top for the grommets and tie-downs. I don\'t think in September we\'ll \"need\" the stove. We sure don\'t need the weight of it. I\'d say we could get by with a stand-by propane Little Buddy.

Camping tonight in the trailer, though ... dutch ovens, lawn chairs ... style.

Today was a light day.
I was torn up over the past few weeks of working out, plus a hard day of scouting yesterday, so I took it easy.

All I did was go for a walk with my wife and puppies. :upthumb:

Tomorrow is right back into a hard back workout. :upthumb:

Laid 4,000 square feet of sod yesterday and played 18 holes of golf today...that\'s enough for now :D

I went walleye fishing, washed and waxed my truck, took a nap, shot my bow, went for a Harley ride, made elk spaghetti for supper.

Now THAT sounds like a solid Sunday! :upthumb:

Yeah, let\'s just say I was a little sore today. Took a while to convince my body to swing a golf club!

Started off today with a great shoulder workout!

Now off to work and I\'ll have a 2 mile job and cardio tonight :upthumb:

rotating my monsterous 31\" (sarcasm alert!) truck tires must have done something to my left knee. laying off the running..yesterday was sore!! today, really good, but i am not gonna push it. dusted off the road bike yesterday for a 20 mile ride.

i\'m gonna repeat it today, just faster. nothing fixes my knees better than spinning on a road bike. like they get lubricated or something.

Did my cardio, run and core!

Got done right before a nasty rain storm hit us.

Early to bed and early to rise so I can workout again.

I am usually up at 4 to 430 every day and it\'s nice because when hunting season comes around I am already used to getting up that early.

Woke up and completed a very solid back workout!

Tonight will be a light jog and 20 minutes of low intensity cardio, plus core. :lolno:

1hr and 15 min road bike ride this weekend. 20 min rowing (see below for my workout), 5 min on versa climber. Kettle bell one arm snatches with 12lbs 12 reps for 3 sets. Ab work.

This morning:

20 minutes on rowing machine normal pace (34 strokes/min) for 5 min then 12 min of 15 second interval \"Sprints\" - going all out for 15 seconds (12-14 strokes in 15 sec), then back to normal strokes for remaining 45 seconds and repeat for 12 minutes. Then, the last few minutes at normal pace.

6 minutes on the versa climber.

Shoulder workout: 3 exercises 12-15 reps each. 30 seconds of different ab work right after each shoulder set and 15-20 sec rest in before the next shoulder set.

3 sets body weight pull ups.

Started eating clean on Monday, goal is to lose 20-30lbs by end of August...

Good luck, Roman!

That is a big goal!
Keep at it, but be safe!

I just got back from a mile and a half run, jump roping, and pushups.....
My body is feeling REAL good.
