    Patriotic Movement

I'm seeing a lot of Patriotism these days.  Maybe it's b/c I'm surrounded by like-minded individuals (military & country folks). The Constitution limits the power of the government, not the people. Anybody else observing anything similar?

Who on here is hunting with the oldest bow?

I know I am not; however, I intend to have my Bear First Strike ('95 model, my first bow) overhauled within the next couple years.  I will hunt and shoot with it again. That got me thinking, "I wonder just how old some of the equipment is still being used...?"

How big to qualify as "big" game?

I grew up in the mid-west.  I didn't learn about elk hunting until I was about 13/14.  I didn't realize for a long time that whitetails were considered big game... they just didn't seem big compared to those elk I was reading about! So, are deer the smallest "big" game? Are hogs considered...

    Campfire Drink

Since we're just sittin here 'round the fire, what's your drink of choice? I'm a beer man, but I like to sip whiskey when it's cold.  I prefer light beer of most any brand and I like Wild Turkey, though it's been quite a long time since I've had any of that, LOL.

Are you a High Country High Roller or High Country Hobo?

Me?  I'm a hobo.  I have a few items of camo that match, but they don't match my pack or my bow or my gloves and I don't have $400 boots. It just seems like the industry is becoming too pricey for the average guy out here trying to pursue their passion. This thread is intended to field this...

    Elk Cherry

I moved to Colorado in Oct. 2009 (military active duty).  I've hunted at least 10 days of every elk season I've lived here and have yet to fill a tag.  The information I've learned has been immense and I'm confident this year is the year. If you had a rocky start getting into the groove of bow...
