Good shootin fellers!  no bull for me. I'll be going on a late season cow hunt in area 201 in Colorado. Always see some giant bulls up there.wish I could draw a tag for one. Not gonna wait 20 years though.

I had some free time this weekend so I decided to score the rack of my fathers bull that i called in for him in september. I was guessing him to score around 270 but i was a little surprised to find he scored a bit better. I tallied up all the measurements for a total of 294 1/8. So close, almost a 300 class bull. But in all reality its not the size of the animal that makes the hunt or if you get anything at all. it's about the memories you make and share with family and friends out in gods country. i thank god for this great country that i live in and great family and friends!

This is a picture of the beautiful 4x4 Roosevelt Elk that I took at 53 yards with a bow on 9/10/13.  This was a DIY hunt on the south end of the Olympic Peninsula.  It was also the culmination of a 20 year dream spanning back to the first time I chased any big game animal.  This was my first year hunting elk and only my second year hunting here in the Pacific Northwest.  I have never been so happy/humbled as I was in the moment this picture was taken.  I am officially hooked and look forward to many more years chasing these amazing animals.
