i simply cough at night. yesterday..my lungs had that burning feeling and i felt like i was breathing super hard and my HR was thru the roof. what does exercise induce asthma feel like?

That\'s how mine goes ... in fact, nocturnal cough is a very common symptom of asthma. Last year on the way out of camp I had the worst attack of my life. It was a long 4.5 mile walk. I made an appointment with a physician pronto when I got home, too.

both my inhalers i have to use that tube thing. game changer. apparently we have to breath it in slowly and DEEPLY to get it way into our lungs.

thanks. makes packing them more difficult. :)
Thanks for the tip.

I get the smaller inhalers (60 doses). They once gave me the larger capacity ones (150 doses) which is way too big to carry around when exercising. I had it changed to the smaller capacity.

Shot a bunch last night at the range. I am ready for this year :upthumb:

I am going to gradually throttle back on workouts and shooting.
I\'ll probably only shoot 3-4 times a week.

I like how my bow is shooting and I don\'t want to mess anything up.

Looks like the last of the food I\'ve ordered has shipped; packaging that up soon.

Exercise continues. My weight-loss has stopped now for a month, but that\'s ok as I\'m at my goal weight and just working to maintain.

Shooting has taken a bit of a break and that needs to change, but it\'ll likely be this weekend before that can ramp up. I\'m thinking of putting various targets around the pasture and rotating in a circuit to simulate different hunting distances and angles. I really don\'t expect a long shot at elk this year, and even \"medium\" distances will be unlikely, but angles up and down will likely occur.

Elk have moved on or very near the ranch that I have access to for early rifle cow hunting, so that may happen this weekend, too.

Just crossing my fingers that neither of my hunting partners wakes up with a sore knee again.

If you wanted to experience a day of bowhunting, you are welcome to tag along on one of my day hunts. I could hand you an easy to use bite and blow call. I have an easy spot 1/2 mile from camp to do cold calling. I wouldn\'t take you up the mountain goat hills, I promise :D

Have you ever tagged along on a bowhunt?

I haven\'t ever tagged along and I really appreciate the invite! My upcoming schedule is a little crazy, but I\'ll see what happens toward mid September. I might have to take you up on that!
I have to warn you that my closing week hunting involves rougher terrain. By that time, the muzzleloaders have pushed the elk into more secluded spots and the elk are in herds. Need some climbing legs for that week. Not the easier 1/2 mile hikes like I can do for opening week.

You are more than welcome. We have a spot 1 mile in that one herd will likely be hanging out with a herd bull bugling back and forth.

Last night, I did more shooting drills in the basement and pack training (50lb) on the treadmill.

my bow is fine. it fits me better than any bow i\'ve owned. it is long ATA-35\" so i had to really fuss with peep size to get it to match diameter to my sight ring..the string is so much closer to my eye!! but now i\'m good..the string just kisses my nose for that additional tactile anchor. it is the only bow i can pick up after some hiatus and get right back into the groove. my recent robinhood got me confident. hehe.
i wish i could shoot more, but my bowrange is difficult to get to. it sucks. i have to hike in! breaks my heart when i get there and there is a scout troop lobbing arrows all over the lawn :)

i get an animal at 60 yards and closer..unaware. i\'ll kill it.

today? i just ate a donut!! and it was damn good.

no exercise today. i am gonna load my truck. trying to pack light for my four days out, but things tend to multiply with me.

let\'s do this!!!

Good Luck! Safe travels.

Shot the bow, good to go!!!!!

Now I have to get ready for bed because I am taking that guy antelope hunting all tomorrow.......

Packed the trailer more, honey do list items, and I am hoping to shoot/hike later this evening.

I can\'t believe I only have 5 work days left. I will definitely be a space cadet.

Finalized food late last night, packed up my scout camp and 75% of my food/ gear, tipped arrows with broad heads, shot about 15-20 arrows, fast and hard leg and cardio workout in the gym, took my daughter to a birthday party. Been a busy SOB! Gotta catch up on some work tonight and travel to Dallas Tuesday- Thursday.

brain dead...officially brain dead. Happens every year...Sunday before opener.

This morning, 3D shooting and last minute shopping. Afternoon was packing.

I started earlier this year to pack...2 weeks ago. All I have left are my non-hunting clothes bag and cold stuff for the cooler. Much better than previous years. New this year was preparing a spike camp bag. Last year for opening week, I failed to have my spike camp stuff. I missed an opportunity.

This evening, touch based with part time hunting partner. We will meet up Thursday evening to chat.

No matter how organized I am, my brain goes foggy Sunday afternoon after spending hours packing and sorting. Glad I started 2 weeks ago. Much easier this year.

HaHa. I only work 4 days this week. Leaving Thursday afternoon to get my camping spot. Pull offs on the forest service road are limited. There are only about 6 places to camp along the road. Last year, I arrived at 9:30 am on Friday and no one was camped yet except the normal locals yearly campsite. I really like my campsite. I won\'t chance losing it, so it is worth taking an extra day off.

jealous!!!! today, a partners wife made homemade cupcakes. I just drooled and walked away.....

Did a nice back workout and then more walking and shooting tonight.
I really want to build myself a pull-up bar!

I\'ve been watching my diet closely, doing core related weight lifting along with cardio, and I am down 15lbs from a few months ago. I feel great and am excited to help out on 5 trophy tags this year (leaving this Friday). I will only get about 2 days to archery hunt myself for a cow (unless my buddy tags out early) but I am confident to 60yds with my broadheads with the right conditions if necessary. Hopefully can get a 20yd shot!

That was yesterday at my brother\'s house. We also worked on the trailer lights and wired my buddies FJ Cruiser with a plug. That was painful, as is typicall of trailer lights. We worked out the food, vehicles, gear and will be ready to hit the road Friday. I need to pack for 2 hunts in the next couple of days where they will be back-to-back hunts with the latter being a 5 mile backpack trip for up to 8 days.

Good luck everyone!
