What did you do today....

Are we suppose to post what we do everyday?

Sort of like a group diary?
My intention was a motivational thread or a sad reminder.

Everyday that goes by is one day closer to our hunts.

I\'m working my tail off to get in shape for it, maybe it\'ll motivate or remind others to do the same.

Or we just watch cliff get in fights with bikers.

Made Elk Pad Thai for my Wife before she had to leave for work...then I went out and shot my bow for a while...I shot well :D

That sounds really good!!!!! I love Pad Thai!!!! :upthumb:

Pretty simple and quick, Dan.

I marinated some small chunks of elk in Italian Dressing. Probably a couple hours is good.

Get some rice noodles, bring some water to a boil, turn the heat off and throw the noodles in. Let them soak for about 10 minutes, then drain. Set them aside.

Recipe usually calls for bean sprouts, but they are so volatile, I just slice down a large onion so it looks like \"noodles\". Stir fry them in a little coconut oil until limp, then throw the drained noodles in and stir them around for about a minute. I shove all that junk to one edge of the skillet, then throw the meat in. With the small chunks, I just stir them around for no more than a couple minutes...then stir them together with the other stuff. Then I add Pad Thai Sauce and my \"special ingredient\"...Szechuan Spicy Stir Fry Sauce. The more you use, the hotter (spicier) it gets. I stir all the junk and sauce around until it sort of thickens up, then shove it all to the edge, and throw 2 eggs in the open part of the skillet and scramble them up. Then stir everything together and serve (top with crumbled cashews and green onions if you like) :)

LOL I can see the snow flakes in the pic.

It won\'t be long and we will be begging for some cool weather. I hate July and August.

Another day up at 4 to workout.
15 minutes of cardio, arm workout, abs/core and now getting ready for work.
I\'ll run tonight and walk a little with my dogs and pack

Dang, you get up earlier than me. But I have come to the point that I almost have to exercise prior to going to work. Otherwise, no energy.

Weight loss is going ok ... in two weeks, I\'ve gained 3 pounds, but then lost 5, so I\'m right at where I wanted to be: 1 pound per week. Another 8-12 weeks and I\'ll be ready to relax a little on the eating.

I got up at 4am. I made and ate breakfast. Then I took a dump. Now i\'m posting on forums.

That\'s about it so far.

Still jogging. Trail runs are my thing. I avoid the crowds on weekends.

I am mountain bike shopping. My old bike is beaten. I need to resume my push-ups, sit-ups , burpees, etc. my arms are pathetic.

John,
Energy levels are why I am now doing it before work too.
I used to be able to work a full day and then workout after work, then I started adding things.

Now my daily routine is 9-12 hours of work, school work after that, then family time.
So if I try to put my workout at the end of the day, I am usually worn out and it\'s easier to put off.

I am a morning person, so I just wake up earlier, get my workout done and then the day is mine.
I also have better energy levels for the day and just feel better as a whole when I workout early.

Good luck on the weight loss, I am sure you will hit your target goals easily.

I love this thread! It\'s a great motivator for me. Today. Trail ran three miles.

Hauling an elk out is part of the dream. Some suffering adds to the memories and makes a better story.

Leg cramps, dizziness, and vomiting makes a krappy story. Keep at it friends!!!This thread has great spirit and camaraderie.
