I'm heading up soon to go try to thin the coyote population in my elk hunting unit. Anyone else do this?  I've never hunted coyotes what do I need besides a call and a thing that goes bang? Any tips out tricks would be appreciated!

Well got back yesterday without an elk in the truck. We saw lots of elk, talked to a few bulls, and scared a few.  I had an opportunity with a cow, but was worried about getting the meat out before spoiling. temps were ranging between 40 and 80.  Soooo anyone got any good tag soup recipes?   ...

I'm going on a 5 day back pack elk hunt this year and don't know how many arrows to bring up with me. I'll only be about 2 miles from my truck. I think I'd be ok with the 5 in my quiver. If I need more I can run down to my truck and get more. What are your thoughts?
