Last evenings fun.

15 Burpees with 20lb vest
Sprint 100 yds with vest
shoot one arrow @ 40yd deer

Repeat 5 times.

Kenny that sounds like a pretty good workout. How was your aim on the final arrow? I think I would be a bit shaky.
 
Another 2 miles this morning carrying 28lbs dumbbells in 30mins :train: :train: :train:

Last arrow was an 8 that time. I had 3 10\'s and 2 8\'s. Amazingly enough , it is usually my first 2 shots that are the worst! I would think they would taper at the end. I think I think more about controlling my breathing as it progresses. I know im really feeling it on that last one!
 
Todays workout when I get home in 2 hours.

7 x 100yd sprints with 20lb vest. Stepping up to 5 days a week now vs 4 that I usually do.

9 rounds of kickboxing last night.
 
Today was my favorite kind of working out.

Shoveled, wheel barreled, spread and raked 6 yards of pea gravel.
Then dug out about 2-3 yards of dirt that back mulch will replace tomorrow. :train: :train: :train: :train:

That\'s the kind of workouts I do. :upthumb: I can say even working hard all the time does not get some targeted muscles. That is why I try to get some exercise with weights in. :train: I target 2 muscle groups for elk hunting. Core and Quads. They will get you through about anything. The hardest muscle for some to strengthen is the brain. A strong mind will get you up that mountain and the one beyond.

My brain is ready and my heart is too! With those two things I can tackle anything!
But to make sure I am ready, I did another 10 yards of rock today.... YIKES! Plus 2 mile walk, core, and worked on my gun.

Yesterday was a monster back workout with cardio and core and today was a killer arm workout with core as well! :train: :train: :train:
 
trimmed the 4 horses feet tonight.... 15k worth of ranch work! btw, 10 new laying chicks arrived today, to replace the 9 that the dog decided to massacre....

Printed some maps of some nice hilly hiking trails to visit on the way home from work. I plan to load the pack with gear and explore them next week.
 
Bumped it up to 3 miles with 50 pounds in the pack yesterday, followed by some shooting.

50 pounds still doesn\'t exactly feel light. I want to be able to handle a lot more by the time season rolls around. My goal is a three load pack out this year.
