What did you do today to work towards your 2018 season?

Well practicing using elk calls in my truck while I drive I watched the how too videos and have been trying to develop my sound practice practice practice. Corey I am still watching Land of the free on episode 34 awesome watching you guys work as a team. I had my first Elk hunt in 2017 in UTAH hunted the Unitas Mountains. I took my 72 yr old Dad on the road trip he fished and watched over Camp while a friend of mine, I meet in 2016 over in Iraq deployment, invited me out there. I'm from Western NY I am an avid deer hunter, meaning my wife is a single mom from October till 3rd week of Jan lol, Now my new passion is Elk hunting she is not happy, I told her I would give up goose and duck hunting if I can Elk hunt every year I am still working on convincing her wish me luck. I did your course Elk 101 learned a ton and now watching land of the free and now I am obsessed about hunting Elk. 2019 can't come quick enough. My next planed trip.

Another spin class in the books for me tonight. I think I really am gunna like this class! Great group of people to keep me motivated towards my goals. Wish I could do more than 1 a week but 1 is better than none.

Step ups for days. At least it seemed like it. No weight then added 20lbs after 40 step ups each leg up to 60 then back down to no weight.  Pushups, moderate weighted cardio, burpee?s, and weighted sit ups.

Another leg day... lunges, box jumps, leg press, leg extensions, calf raises and threw in 3 sets of power cleans as well.

I spent the last few days hiking around Kansas looking for turkeys and sheds.

it was a nice little break on my body, so now I am ready to get back and hit it hard.
I'll be starting off with a killer back workout today.  I am also going to try to put on a clean 5lbs over the next 2 months.

two solid days mtn biking.  my lungs are coming along nicely.

did an arm and grip workout with my latest gym equipment.
hehe.  i can barely move my arms.  hedge about 70 feet of runaway vines.  oh boy..

Squat
Back ext
Leg curl
Leg ext
Overhead press
Chest press
Arm curl
Triceps pull downs
Sit-ups
10 minutes stairmaster

All 3x10 except stairmaster

My question is, is it better to do all 3 sets of each exercise in a row or do a full round of each for a set?

I?ve done both ways and doing all exercises in a row for a set 3 time seems to keep my heart rate up but doesn?t seem to fatigue the muscles as much. I stagger arms and legs and do the stairmaster, treadmill, or spin bike last.

Ma nature has finally made a turn for the better! Getting the pack loaded up for the first weighted pack workout of the year, may hit the gym for a good ride on the spin bike also.

Today was a nice chest workout, core, push ups, and 20 minutes of cardio  :upthumb:

Today I pulled out the bow. Although I will not be archery hunting my theory is the more of any type of shooting the better. Went pretty good since I haven?t shot an arrow in almost 4 years. This was at 40 yards. Also put in 2 1/2 miles with a 45 lbs pack today and 1 1/2 miles yesterday

Great job! Both shooting and training

Riding my mtn bike still. I changed routes up. The new route is a lung buster. I?ll be ready if I keep this up.

Started my workout with a 3 mile bike, then shoulders, core, abs, push ups, 10 minutes stair stepper, and then 10 minutes inclined treadmill.
