2016 Season Workout

OK... Nothing earth shattering but a new milestone this morning... :D :D

Ya\'ll done laugh...

I actually was able to go thru the whole process of taking my bath without the use of any oxygen for the 1st time since back in November...

And yes I have taken at least a few baths since then... :p :p

Still riding the stationary bike but not making as good of progress as I would like but up to 10 minute and working to get better...

woohoo phil!
roger that mark
ran 3 miles last night.
its raining here again, prob not going to get much done after work.....

the rain stopped, so I got a 4.5 mile mtn bike ride in, on the soggy gravel roads with the dog. there were some hills involved!

Today\'s workout..... Head to the mountains and check some cameras, move some cameras around and shed hunt!!!!

Busy weekend here

Went to WY camping
Went shed hunting for a bit
Went fishing
Mowed my yard [push/weed whacked/rider]
Hand washed my truck
Worked on my outboard motor
Tilled the gardens
Shot my bow
Rebuilt a couple fishing reels

And for some reason, Im wiped out tonight

Hard work is a good workout. It is the workout I use most. :train:

well it starts.

i ran uphill both weekend days. about 2 miles up. it is awful. slow and painful, and i do have to stop to grab my knees. right now i feel like i am redlining my heart. i should have never stopped.

i speed walk downhill. it is so steep, i would hurt myself.

Due to learning (only a few weeks ago) I\'ve had several bulging discs in my lower back since January, I\'m now restricted to working out like a yoga/pilates instructor. Too bad I learned that news after a tough solo barbary hunt.... oooops.

Only body weight exercises for me, but I did do 250 PU\'s, 100 crunches, 100x3 count Superman\'s, 100 lunges, 200 overhead hand claps, 25xHandstand PU\'s, 200 Step-ups, 5x1min plank, 5x1min side plank/side, and 10 strict air squats to make sure my pelvis isn\'t jacked up. Then 45 minutes of assorted stretching(super painful)

I may not be increasing my max lifts, however my butt is starting to look great!!! :upthumb:

Physical conditioning is slowly getting to where I\'d like it, but not fast enough.

Spent the weekend camping and riding horses ... which can be a workout, especially when you get caught in a sea of deadfall and have to cut your way out! Someone needs to invent a chainsaw to pack on a horse.

Doing P90x3 or 22 Minute Hard Corps in the mornings before work ... basic calisthenics, mostly. If I could restrain myself at the table, I\'d lose some weight.

Yesterday I had to search for my wife\'s dog for an hour on a steep slope. It was a chore, and it reminded me that steep slopes are still going to slow me down to a very slow pace. The nice thing is that most elk hunting needs to be done at ... a very slow pace!

I would imagine that you could rig excuse me modify a rifle scabbard to pack most ant light weight chainsaw with a 14\" bar... Only problem would be packing the mixed gas/oil and the chain bar oil since most smaller saws will not do much work on a single fill up...

Just make sure when you crank up the chainsaw the horse is secured good or you might be packing out the chainsaw yourself.... ;) ;)

you all are awesome and motivating.

i got off my butt and visited my doctor. she worked me around to evaluate my shoulder. she said it was super minor..and suggested some stretches and PT. she taught me some new moves to do.

and then..you guessed it. she injected me. i was super skeptical. but it is working. i barely feel any soreness. my PT moves are easier to do and painless.

i\'m gonna stay at it until i feel good and ready to draw my bow. i got time.

Great news Cliff! Keep up the stretching and don\'t over do it with the bow shooting. You will be ready come September.
