2016 Season Workout

im not ready for 300 plus pushups..... I have a hitch in my right shoulder already.... did get 130...
 
Got my fat turkey eating ass moving yesterday. Woke up at 2 am to catch first flight home. Got home and put on my running shoes. Holy cardio!!

Made it, but I was hurting. Did some 8000 feet hiking in NM unit 36 and was feeling awesome. So I know my hard work is paying off.

60 miler backpack trip in the plans do I have a goal this summer.

I know what your feeling Gary. I have been working out with this left shoulder out of place for a month. I have stopped for a few days at a time because all them push-ups fire it up big time. I went to the chiro a couple times and took it easy for a couple days but it still bothers me. Grrrrrrr! I\'m going to do 200-250 push-ups today and some leg presses. Starting mid December after our deer gun season I will do some hikes with a pack in the large public hunting area near me.
 
Tuesdays are pushup days here ... 434 this morning!

For the most part, I\'m in \"maintenance mode\" but with pushups, I try to increase reps by 1 each Tuesday, which led to that number. 13 sets between 30 and 40 of different pushups (wide, narrow, etc.) in a half hour.

Cardio, core, and legs are the important things for elk hunting, but pushups like that ARE cardio and core.
 
I set up a stationary bike and bought a wireless mouse. Now I can ride the bike and watch BTO all at the same time. Gotta get these bad knees into hunt\'n shape.

I\'ve been running about 2 miles a day, doing core, and push ups.
I will start really ramping up my gym time and run milage here after the new year, but right now I am enjoying the holiday food too much :D
 
Went to the Chiro for a shoulder out of place Friday. I have been fighting through the pain for awhile. I took it easy for 2 days and did 250 push ups today. Still a bit sore but things are feeling a lot better. Going to do some leg presses now. :D
 
I\'ve been doing a consistent 1.5 miles a day for the past 5 days. I plan on doing this into the summer and adding in some morning hiking. Then I\'ll increase all cardio and hikes in the summer.


I need a lot energy to pull Gary, Terry, Steve, and Tim\'s bulls out of the mountains.

Just remember to crack the victory beer AFTER the bull is all the way down.

All I know is I wore myself out riding this dad-burn bike while trying to go through all the BTO post on the computer. Think I may have to move the bike a little closer to the screen. :dk:
