2016 Season Workout

I have been keeping myself pretty busy with trying to get ready to move, that I have only been doing my prebed pushups or situps....

Moving furniture will be a workout.

Did my daily 300 PUs yesterday. I have 100 so far today and plans for some situps. Not sure how many I will do but I will give it my best.
 
Gah! Two days ago, rushed home to trail jog. Walking home, I step on a stupid acorn and tweak my ankle. Aleve and ice, sat on my butt as the rain rolled in. Yesterday, rush home. Pulled out my mtn hike hit the hills till dark. Scary how I weakened in a week. Like my turkey gravy diet was a really bad idea :)

Oh I\'m sore. Ankle is better tho. I\'ll slow jog tomorrow. Time to amp it up, and lay off the gravy.

Ankle is better. Just ran the fastest 2.5 miles ever. Had to race the rain. I\'m still soaked but feel great.

I did 100 push ups Thursday and Friday. I went to the chiro again for the shoulder Thursday so I was taking it easy. I rested the weekend and the shoulder is getting better. I did 200 yesterday and things felt good. 100 done today and headed to my daily 300. I like doing them and have had less back pain since I started.

I brought my pack to work to put on a digital scale. I am going to start adding all necessary gear for a 3 day bivy and count ounces trying to get it the lightest I can. Thanks Gary :p

Sounds like next year\'s hunt just got a little more interesting!
 
468 pushups today ... 13 x 36.

But only do them on Tuesdays ... and other stuff on other days.

Next week, it will be 13 sets x 37 pushups, then 38 the next week and so on.

John do you break this down throughout the day? I have done 500 in a day but that was from 8am-8pm.

Yes it did but it will give me something to do this winter. LOL.

The scale weighs down to .001 lbs

Badlands 2200 =6.075

Badlands 2.5L bladder = .300

Holster for handgun = .205

I will weigh everything and add it to a spread sheet
 
Saturday went to look at new running shoes. did the impossible and wore out my current street shoes. that never happens in my world.

well, met a nice older lady at the shop and she really took her time with me..explaining the different shoes..neutral, stability, etc. then she confirmed my current shoes were the right ones for me, Neutral. and brought me a few to try.

like 8 pairs. i went thru them all. even had different shoes on each feet a couple of times. i bought some. felt pretty good today and got home with daylight left. about 42 degrees out. wore my pants, and shirt added a fleece vest and ran off.

i had visions of grandeur with my new shiny RED and SILVER kicks and i ran pretty fast. the lady talked me into cushiony shoes..and man, they were cushiony. i think i did 4.5 miles!!! i am freezing in my house now in sweaty clothing.

off to the shower. i grunted audibly when i got up. uuggh! i am ready for Arizona deer season. my buddy isnt. i will do solo day trips. put him on the lower elevation mule deer herd. that lady got me in the right shoe!! and she looked like she could run down a gazelle..bet she was close to 60 years old..wonder if she bow-hunts :D

This is part of P90x3 ... A set of push-ups followed by a \"pull\" like lat pull downs, pull-ups, curls ... Then repeat, all done in a half hour.

Passed my PT test today, so I pigged out!

350 push ups yesterday and the shoulder is feeling good. My new daily number is 350 now I will do them and some sit ups. Got to keep the core strong.

Calisthenics this morning ... yoga tomorrow.

If you\'ve never done any yoga exercises, try once a week.
