My wife asked me to make some jerky out of my MN tom I shot. I made some last year from a recipe she found online. It was ok. I picked up a different flavor Hi Mountain seasoning to try. I have used it for venison and elk jerky and everyone in my family likes it. Simple it make.

So here is the problem, I have two packs of elk steak thawed out that I was going to cook tonight but now I have fresh back straps I just cut out of my buck I just shot tonight. Should I have elk or fresh back straps. Good problem to have. :D

Just pulled the card from one of my cams. It\'s starting to look up around here.

I had to give up on getting one with my bow. Got the shotgun out of the mothballs and finally shot me a fall turkey. It\'s not a big one but after they kicked my butt bow hunting them I was happy to get it.
