What is the greatest distance that you know elk have traveled from water or food to bedding? I have seen them travel nearly 3 miles from a mountain bedding area to low river bottom (creek) and back before daylight. They can cover a long distance over night.

I have the Molle ACU Pack and use it for elk backpack trips. Anyone using one? I recently figured out the pack can detach from the frame and allow meat bags to ride between pack and frame. Anyone used one like that?
